Worship With Us
Sunday Services
Every Sunday morning at 11:30 am,
we gather together for worship, learning, community, and growth.
Our hope for our worship gatherings is that they would be a place to practice new ways of being that resist the ways of the world that lead to oppression, violence, and division. Each week, we reflect on how we can embody the transformative work of God that leads to peace with justice, love with liberation, and inclusive grace for all.
Worship in Person
We share a building with Emmaus United Church of Christ, located at 900 Maple Avenue E in Vienna, with easy access to our main parking lot off Westbriar Drive NE. Fairfax Connector routes 462, 463, and 467 all make stops at the corner of our property.
Worship Online
Whether you worship with us live on Sunday morning or during the week, our YouTube channel is a great way to worship with us when you're unable to join us in person.
What to expect
We welcome you to come as you are, not as you think you should be. We are young and old, married and widowed, retirees and in the prime of our careers. Each week we set aside time in our lives to gather together as God's people to celebrate how God is at work in our lives and in our community.
Worship at Vienna Baptist is grounded in liturgical tradition. Through the use of familiar hymns, we remember and honor the faith of our past. Through the introduction of new hymns and songs, we recognize that God is still speaking to us.
Families in worship
We believe worship is for everyone, not just the adults! During the service, a special Children's Message is offered our youngest worshippers. After this time in worship, children through grade 6 are invited to join our ministry team for a special Children's Worship for learning and activities designed to help them explore the themes of the day.
